Dot Opens February 21st at Omaha Community Playhouse

OMAHA, NEB., February 10, 2025 – A play by Academy Award nominated actor, director, and playwright Colman Domingo takes the stage at the Omaha Community Playhouse. Dot, directed by TammyRa’, opens February 21 and runs through March 23 in the Howard Drew Theatre. Performances are Thursdays – Saturdays at 7:30 p.m.; and Sundays at 2 p.m.

Dot is a celebration of family, resilience, and the complexities of love – reminding us that even in the hardest moments, the ties that bind are the ones that hold us together. Set in a Philadelphia neighborhood, a matriarch’s sharp wit and unwavering love are tested by the challenges of aging, Alzheimer’s, family secrets, and the fight to hold on to what matters most. In this vibrant, poignant play, laced with humor and candor, Dotty’s family must confront their past, their own identities, and the fragility of the present.
